I, Daniel Blake thoughts

I watched the movie ' I, Daniel Blake' and I am moved by this movie. I understand what's going on in the movie due to current situations. I was disgusted with the way the people seeking help were treated by the council because nobody was listening to them. I found it awful how the questions they asked which would deem him fit to work or not had nothing to do with the issue that he had. Just because he could button up his shirt or put a hat doesn't mean he's fit to work because the issue was his heart. I found it moving how he tried his best to help Katie while he was still struggling himself. I was angry with the council and how Katie had to go to prostitution in order to get enough money to feed her children. I found it wrong that they just sanctioned people, even for being five minutes late to a meeting or not having enough evidence to prove they were looking for jobs. It seemed like they didn't really care or want to know the person they just wanted to get through their day. The movie hit close to home for me, so I'm glad that there is something out there which shows what families actually go through.
