MY DEFINTION AND THE CLASS DECISION OF POLITICS:
From the discussion from class I think we came to the conclusion that anything can be politics like as to why a teacher sits at the front of the class and why a student sits at the back. Lots of things are politics and its not just about the government.
We also answered questions and had to say whether we agreed or strongly disagree with a statement.
A question was " What's more important family or society?" and another was "Should we bring back the death penalty?". In my opinion I think family is more important but then society is what gives you work etc, so it is a eard decision for me so I sat in the middle. The second question at I was about 75% towards agree. This was because if someone had hurt one of my family members I would probably want to hurt them too but then again I feel like the death penalty is wrong but I don't know what I would feel if someone in my family had been murdered.
We also started to read the play 'Cathy'. We read the first two scenes. I find the play interesting so far but I find the topic of the play touchy as some of the plays topics are happening in my life right now, so it feels a little close to home. But I am trying to distance myself from linking the two, so that it doesn't cloud my opinion on the play but also trying to bring some emotion to the play so that I'm more connected.
